Welcome!
Did you know that the average American listens to over 4 hours of music every day? A majority of audio intake comes in the form of AM/FM radio, as well as TV, internet radio, podcasts, cd's, etc., and a very small amount (less than 2%) to live performance.
The purpose of this blog is to focus on aspects of live music: location, production, festivals, arenas, lighting/visuals, equipment, sustainable alternatives, as well as fan experiences and reviews. Live music is a powerful thing, and has the opportunity to move thousands of people in a similar way. People travel across the country and world to see and hear music from their favorite artists, or to attend any of the multitude of music festivals the world has to offer.
The blogs original direction was more of a focus on the American jam band Sound Tribe Sector Nine (STS9). More specifically, the effects of their music, influence on people, and lengths people will go to see the band. But after some research and reworking, the main focus has shifted to live music coverage. Live music covers a much greater audience, and will reach more readers and their ears than to specifically narrow it down to one band in one genre of one countries music.
Over the next few posts, be prepared to read about concert reviews, as well as upcoming events, album releases, and festival/tour schedules, as well as fan art, fan reviews and pictures, and guest posts featuring playlists and or reviews of albums/shows.
